The reinvented adventures of Mary Poppins

New year new job(s) :D

Work: I just recently started as nursery assistant (barnehage assistent/tillkalllingsvikar) in Drammen.
It`s so lovely to work with children, especially small(er) ones, but God there`s nothing more satisfying then the sudden quietness at the end of a long working day :)
The kids are adorable, and they are spoiled (of course), but it`s so much better to get up go to work, and come home, to a warm and friendly home!
Meanwhile I am searching for environmental engineer jobs, and after less than 2 weeks of  looking, I already got called in for interviews. So, there is chance!
I am so happy to be here, to live here in Norway! After all, I made the right decision to come here...
I am very excited about my future!!
Sports: I also applied for membership in an athletics club, Hellas IF, it`s in Drammen too. I attended one training session on tuesday and I still have muscular pain in my quadriceps :D Jeepee Otherwise, it`s too cold to train outside, so Im visiting a gym with my auntie, who has a visitors card, and now the trainings in DH too. I go skiing too, and I can even go down on smaller hills without braking with my bum :)
Lovelife: not existing :) Except that I enjoy the views of assorted young hunks (at work, at the gym, on the street...) I guess I`m just too shy yet (my limited Norwegian knowledge, or the lack of alcohol in my blood), or they are too shy /slow naturally :P
Book: Alen Weisman-The world without us, Maryan Keyes- Anybody out there (It`s my drug, I just can`t put it down, meanwhile my intellectual guilt is killing me, but I mean c`mon, Im watching FRIENDS for God`s sakes!), and a Norwegian edition of Calvin and Hobbes (to improve my norsk)
Home: I am living in my auntie`s/godmother`s house, up in Konnerud, it`s very nice, she takes care of me, cooks very nice food, and I have a lot of time alone too, so I still have privacy!
¨Friends, social life: Not much except socializing w. my family and their friends, Oh!One exception, I met this cheerful hungarian girl at the police station (don`t worry I was there for bureocratic reasons), she is also an environmental engineer (only difference that she studied in Godollo, and I in Veszprem University), and lives in Kongsberg! She is awesome, we meet sometimes, and we write to each other, they (w. her boyfriend) were here with us on my birthday celebration last saturday, it was fun!

Anyway, shortly: I feel good, and very VERY POSITIVE about my future here in Norway, and I can`t be happier about it right now ;)

With Love, From Norway,

Aniko
